Adult entertainer turned Instagram model Natalie Monroe is being accused of running off on a $9,000 bill. And no, we are not talking about a simple dine and dash but more of recovery and dash. This began after Monroe’s Instagram account was disabled. These days Instagram pages can be one of the essential aspects of an individual’s business. Especially for a model and adult creator like Natalie Monroe, who had 2.3 million followers on her main account.
Soon after her account went down, she found an individual with proper resources and connections to recover her account. After a bit of negotiation, they agreed on $9,000 to recover the account. Brands and individuals can sometimes have access to something called a Media Portal. Which Essentially gives them priority support at Instagram to resolve any issues. They used an escrow service specialized for these types of agreements to facilitate the deal. Because the service that was being provided to Monroe was not %100 guaranteed, they both agreed to move forward without having the escrow company collect a pre-payment and hold it until the service was complete. However, both parties did enter a legal agreement with the escrow company to fulfill each person’s responsibilities.
After some time, the service provider recovered Monroe’s 2.3 million Instagram account. This is where things went wrong. She refused to pay and later tried to tell the escrow company that someone else had entered this agreement, but it was not her. The escrow company had to prove her wrong as they had all her personal information, including ids she used to verify her account. She then again agreed she would pay, but in the end, she didn’t and has not been in contact with either the escrow or the service provider.
“Now she is on the run, deactivating and changing her social handles to avoid us,” said the escrow company, who is trying to track her down.
We decided to do a little deeper dive into Monroe and her career online to see if anyone else had had similar issues.
Two years ago, a Reddit user posted a Reddit titled “Natalie Monroe – Scammer,” where he goes into great detail allegedly claiming she is scamming her fans from her adult site.
We found another similar Reddit post claiming she promised her fans 350 full-length adult videos if they tipped her $10. He provided screenshots that it came from her actual adult website and that he indeed tipped $10 and never received the videos.
Dope Entrepreneurs reached out to Monroe for a statement but have not heard anything back.
Monroe has committed a type of cybercrime, and the Individuals she has defrauded online can pursue legal action against her.
